This Privacy Policy works together with our Terms of Service, Acceptable Use Policy, Refund Policy, and Service Level Agreement. It also describes our online information practices and the choices you can make about how your information is collected and used.
Information collected in connection with the Services may be hosted on servers in Bangladesh, our selected global data-center regions, or those of our trusted service providers. Your data may be processed or accessed outside your country of residence — including outside the European Economic Area — by us or our service providers. By using the Services, you freely and expressly consent to such processing and transfer where applicable law allows.
1. Who we are
BenuCloud provides cloud-based solutions — including shared web hosting, VPS hosting, reseller hosting, and related support — to businesses, individuals, agencies, and others. We offer a range of products and services designed to help customers meet their technology and online presence needs.
Our office address is 61/B, 1st Floor, Kajlapar, Jatrabari, Dhaka-1236. You can reach us at hello@benucloud.com or +8801810-553355. Account and billing tools are available in our client area.
BenuCloud does not sell or register domain names. Domains you use with our Services must be obtained and managed through a third-party registrar of your choice. Privacy practices of those registrars are governed by their own policies.
2. The information we collect
We collect the following types of information to provide the products and services you purchase and for the purposes described below. Collection may occur through forms, account registration, support channels, automated means such as logs, or cookies (where permitted).
2.1 Personal information
The personal information we collect depends on the type of service, support, or sales inquiry, and may include:
- Name, business name, billing and postal address
- Telephone / WhatsApp number and email address
- IP address, hostname, and related technical identifiers
- Dates and types of services provided
- Payment history, manner of payment, amount, and date of payments
- Support tickets, chat transcripts, and related correspondence
Financial information is used only to bill you for products and services you purchase, typically via a payment gateway. If you pay by card, relevant details may be processed by your card issuer or payment provider. When transferring sensitive information, your browser should display a secure (HTTPS / SSL) connection.
2.2 Cookies and tracking
Your browser can store small text files called “cookies” that help a website recognize your session or preferences. We use cookies to save preferences and login-related state, provide personalized functionality, and — where appropriate — collect statistical information to improve our products, services, and networks.
More specifically, we may use:
- Required cookies — necessary for the website and client area to work properly
- Performance cookies — help us understand how visitors use the site so we can measure and improve performance
- Functional cookies — remember choices you make on our website
- Advertising cookies — where used, help present ads or campaigns that may be relevant to your interests
We may use cookies to track referrals from affiliates and advertising campaigns. We may also use a third-party email provider to send messages you have agreed to receive; pixel tags or similar technologies may help measure effectiveness and focus marketing communications. You can reject non-essential cookies through our cookie banner (where shown) or by changing your browser settings — noting that some features may not work correctly if cookies are disabled.
2.3 Customer surveys
We may periodically conduct customer surveys. Participation is voluntary. We encourage feedback because it helps us improve the services we offer and how we deliver them. Personal information provided in a survey remains confidential, even if a trusted third party administers the survey on our behalf.
2.4 Social media
Our website may include social media features or widgets (for example, share or follow buttons). These features may collect your IP address and which page you are visiting, and may set a cookie to function properly. They may be hosted by a third party or on our site. Your interactions with those features are governed by the privacy policy of the company providing the feature.
2.5 Data submitted to third parties on our network
This Privacy Policy does not apply to data or personal information that visitors submit to websites hosted on our infrastructure for our customers, or to data collected by applications you install on a VPS or hosting account. Those sites and apps are not owned or controlled by BenuCloud. You (and your end users) should review the privacy practices of those third-party properties independently before submitting personal data.
3. How we use information
3.1 Personal information
We use the information we collect to bill for Services, deliver hosting and support, detect abuse, improve reliability, and comply with law. We may study usage patterns to understand customer needs and to promote relevant products, services, or additional support. We may also generate non-identifying, aggregate profiles from registration or usage data (for example, total customers in a category). Aggregated, non-identifying information may be used in connection with our website and services.
We take reasonable precautions to prevent unauthorized access to your information. We may ask for additional identity verification before disclosing account details. We may use your contact details to send service notices, billing alerts, security updates, and — where permitted — newsletters or information about products we believe may interest you. You can opt out of non-essential marketing emails using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us.
3.2 Log files
We use IP addresses and related logs to analyze trends, administer our site and servers, track access, investigate abuse, and gather broad demographic information in aggregate. IP addresses are not themselves treated as a customer profile, but personal information may appear in logs through normal web and mail activity.
3.3 Customer surveys
We may use survey responses and related contact information to follow up, resolve issues, or highlight changes we made based on your feedback — including coordination with trusted third-party partners where needed.
4. Disclosing information
4.1 Partners and sponsors
Some products or services may be offered or promoted with a partner, sponsor, or related brand. We may share information with those parties as needed to deliver the product or service or related amenities. We only share personal information with third parties that agree to keep it confidential and use it solely for the agreed purpose.
We may also disclose aggregate, anonymous data derived from user information to potential partners or reputable third parties.
4.2 Service providers
We may transfer (or otherwise make available) personal information to third parties that help us provide our Services — for example payment authorization and processing, infrastructure and network providers, email and ticket systems, survey tools, or security monitoring. Personal information may be maintained and processed by those providers in Bangladesh or other jurisdictions. Providers receive only what they need to perform their functions; we do not authorize them to use personal information for their own unrelated marketing.
4.3 Online advertisements
We do not sell personally identifiable information to advertisers. We may display online advertisements and may share aggregated, non-identifying information collected through registration, analytics, or promotions with certain advertisers. In some cases, aggregated insights help deliver more relevant ads (for example, an audience segment described without naming individuals).
4.4 Customer surveys
Survey insights may be shared within BenuCloud and with trusted third parties to develop or improve products and services we believe would interest you.
4.5 Sale of business
If BenuCloud is involved in a merger, acquisition, sale of all or a material portion of its assets, change in corporate control, or insolvency proceedings, you will be notified by email or a prominent website notice about any change in ownership or use of your personal information, and any choices available to you.
4.6 Legal and compliance reasons
We may access, preserve, and share your information with companies, organizations, governmental entities, or individuals outside BenuCloud if we believe in good faith that the law requires us to do so. This includes responding to subpoenas, court orders, or other legal process (such as law-enforcement requests). We may also access, preserve, and share information as necessary to:
- Establish or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims
- Investigate, prevent, or act on suspected fraud or other illegal activity
- Prevent death or serious physical harm to any person
- Investigate violations of our Terms of Service or Acceptable Use Policy
5. Your options
5.1 Correcting or updating personal information
If your information changes, or if you no longer want our Services, we will endeavor to help you correct, update, or remove personal data in our records where applicable. In most cases you can update account details via our client area or by emailing hello@benucloud.com. Depending on your jurisdiction, you may also have rights to access, rectify, delete, restrict, or port your data, or to object to certain processing. Contact us to exercise those rights; we may need to verify your identity first.
5.2 Public forums and testimonials
Information you disclose on public areas of our websites, community channels, or the wider internet becomes public. Exercise caution before posting personal details. To request removal of personal information from a testimonial or similar public placement we control, contact hello@benucloud.com. In some cases we may be unable to remove content fully (for example, if it has been republished elsewhere); we will explain why if that applies.
6. Data security
We use technical and organizational security measures designed to help prevent loss, misuse, alteration, or unauthorized disclosure of information under our control. These include physical, electronic, and managerial safeguards appropriate to the nature of the data. Sensitive information is collected over secure connections. When we ask for financial details (such as card payments), transmission is protected using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) / TLS technology where supported by the payment flow.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. While we work to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security of data transmitted to or stored by us.
7. Data retention
We retain account and billing data while your subscription is active and for a reasonable period afterward as needed for legal, tax, accounting, security, and dispute-resolution purposes. Support records and logs may be retained for similar operational and compliance reasons. When retention is no longer required, we delete or anonymize data in accordance with our internal practices, subject to backups and legal holds.
8. Changes to this policy
We reserve the right to revise, amend, or modify this Privacy Policy at any time. If we plan to materially change how we use or disclose previously collected personal information, we will provide advance notice (including by email or a prominent notice) before the change becomes effective, where required, and an opportunity to opt out of differing uses where applicable. We encourage you to review this page periodically for the latest practices.
9. Questions
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy, or if you want to know what information we hold about you, please email hello@benucloud.com, write to us at 61/B, 1st Floor, Kajlapar, Jatrabari, Dhaka-1236, or open a ticket from the helpdesk.
